Culzean Castle Wedding Photography - Amrit & Harneen's Scottish Wedding Reception

WOW! What a party!
Amrit & Harneen's wedding ceremony took place down in Nottingham, but they decided to have a reception in Scotland where they are now both living. Culzean Castle on the West Coast of Scotland was chosen as the venue and it's not hard to see why. Culzean Castle and its gardens are simply stunning!
The whole day was a fairytale from start to finish. We started off with taking some beautiful romantic shots of Amrit & Harneen around the castle before the guests arrived, then it was informal from there on in. Amrit & Harneen mingled with guests outside on the lawn after arriving on a white horse drawn carriage, before being piped down to the marquee, which was decorated in an enchanted forest theme, for dinner and speeches.
After dinner it really was party time! Amrit & Harneen had brought in a DJ from Birmingham who kept the guests dancing and partying all night. The floor was literally jumping up and down and the atmosphere was amazing! We were really tempted to down cameras and join in!
At the stroke of midnight a pipe band played a selection of Scottish favourites providing a perfect end to what was an amazing day.
Thanks go out to Amrit & Harneen, we thoroughly enjoyed photographing you and your families and friends, the photos are great!

Harneen's Makeup was immaculate and her dress was amazing, she looked absolutely stunning!

As the Bride & Groom officially arrived to greet their guests, they were accompanied by 2 pipers and 2 dohl drummers.

The fairytale Horse & Carriage.

The beautiful gardens of Culzean

The amazing wedding cake was a three foot high tree made from chocolate, it was completely edible!

The floor was packed all night and the floor was literally bouncing!

Lennoxlove Wedding Photography - Lucy & Greg's Wedding

Lucy & Greg were married at Lennoxlove on 8th July. We had a great day with Lucy & Greg and their guests, the whole day was relaxed and very informal and the warm sunny weather meant that the guests were all outside drinking champagne and chatting. The day couldn't have been more perfect!
Lucy's dress was WOW! It had a very Spanish look and sat perfectly when we posed her for the photographs.

Lucy & Greg were really relaxed throughout the day and it certainly comes across in the images!

Lucy & Greg had the most beautiful table arrangements we think we've ever seen at a wedding, balls of flowers in all different sizes in the centre of each table accented by candles. The marquee looked amazing!

To complete the day, Lucy, Greg and the bridal party performed a choreographed first dance in front of all the guests, it was brilliant!

We loved our day with Lucy & Greg and their families and friends, we had a great time, it wasn't like work at all!

Ayrshire Wedding Photography - Eilidh & Andy's Wedding

24th July was the wedding of Eilidh & Andy at Brig O' Doon in Ayrshire. Eilidh & Andy were a fantastic couple to work with and really wanted to spend quality time getting amazing pictures to remember their wedding day by.
After the family pictures were taken, we spent some time with Eilidh & Andy in the grounds of the hotel, the brig itself and also the gardens across the road. The finished results are stunning. The weather played a big part as it was a beautiful, warm sunny day and everything just felt relaxed.
Here are some of Eilidh & Andy's images, we hope you enjoy!

Dalmahoy Wedding Photography - Kirsten & Michael's Wedding

Kirsten & Michael got married on 23rd July at Dalmahoy Golf & Country Club. The service took place at the chapel at Dalmahoy. It was a great day with lovely weather for a change! It was also good to see the familiar faces of some of our former Brides & Grooms amongst the guests! It goes to show that word of mouth is our best form of advertising, some of you guys are bound to be putting an invoice in for commission soon!
Here are some of Kirsten & Michael's wedding images.
This shot was taken at Kirsten's parents house where she was getting ready. We love this classic look Kirsten has, she photographs brilliantly!

Michael and his Best Man Graeme chose a slightly unusual mode of transport to get to the church!

Kirsten and her Dad arrived in style in a horse drawn carriage.

After the ceremony, Kirsten's Dad Brian took the reins and delivered Bride & Groom to the reception.

Some lovely romantic shots of Kirsten & Michael to finish the day.

Wedding Photography Aberdeen - Kara & Scott's Wedding

Kara & Scott got married on 16th July at St Paladius Church and on to Drumtochty Castle near Aberdeen. Kara & Scott both live and work in Texas but decided to come back home to tie the knot.
Kara looked absolutely stunning on the day! These two shots were taken in the bedroom at Drumtochty as Kara was getting ready to leave for the church.

The inside of St Paladius Church during the wedding ceremony.

We loved photographing Kara & Scott with the church in the background the church looks like something out of a fairytale, especially with the mist settling on the trees behind it.

This shot shows off Kara's beautiful wedding dress perfectly.

Scottish Borders Wedding Photography - Ashley & Simon's Wedding

Ashley & Simon are Farmers from just outside Kelso and they got married on 9th July at Melerstain House in the Scottish Borders. It was a picturesque setting for the ceremony which ws outside in an open Marquee overlooking the Gardens. The Marquee also provided much needed shelter from the rain which came down in sheets that day!
The good old Scottish weather didn't phase Ashley & Simon though, they were adamant that they wanted stunning pictures. So with the help of umbrellas we went ahead and made the most of melerstain's beautiful grounds, creating an album of gorgeous images.
Here are some of the images taken on that day, you wouldn't even know it was raining!
This has got to be one of our absolute favourites, the nervous look from Simon, the proud look from Ashley's Dad and the happiness on Ashley's face make an image that could only happen naturally. You just can't pose a shot like that!

Just as the minster finished the blessing and said "Amen", there was an almighty clap of thunder. Someone up there obviously approved!

Ashley relaxing with a glass of bubbly between showers!

The whole wedding party

The guests were all good sports sheltering under umbrellas between group photographs.

Simon's niece and flowergirl on the day, Hannah showing off her beautiful dress.

After the guests had gone on to the reception at Ashley & Simon's farm, our Bride & Groom stayed back for some time together enabling us to capture these romantic shots of the two of them.

The reception was held in a Maquee back at the Farm.We loved the name cards on the tables, attached to the wine glasses with a little clothespeg.

We would like to thank Ashley & Simon and their families for sticking with it during the rain. You all enabled us to get the shots we wanted and we're sure you'll agree it was worth it!
